While clearing ground for Grey Oaks Country Club, an ancient Southern Pine was discovered in the middle of the 8th fairway, where it remains to oversee this classic golf club and residential community. Grey Oaks is a gated neighborhood, with three 18-hole golf courses.
There are also two driving ranges, tennis courts, an aquatic facility and a 62,000 square foot clubhouse that showcases the 18th fairways from two of the courses and the surrounding lakes, fountains, and footbridges. An additional 19,000 square foot clubhouse overlooks the Bob Cupp-designed Estuary Course. Membership is limited, allowing members substantial freedom in choosing tee times. Social memberships permit members and their families to golf off-season, and the use of tennis, swimming, fitness, clubhouse and dining facilities all year. Every home site within the 1,600 acre community has a lake or golf course view and ranges from 1/2 acre to well over 1 acre in size.
